Our Story

Fass Farms began in 2013 with five mama cows, a rusty tractor, and a big dream. What started as a small family operation outside Syracuse, Nebraska has grown into a faith-driven business serving families and ranchers across the Midwest.

From the beginning, this farm has been about more than cattle. It’s where we raise our children, teach them the value of hard work, and live out our belief that farming is a calling. Every decision we make is rooted in faith, community, and the desire to do things the right way — even if it takes longer.

The Beef Side – Down Home Beef

In 2013, we started selling beef directly to families so they could have access to wholesome, source-verified, Nebraska beef raised with care. Our cattle are grassfed, grain-finished, and dry-aged for flavor you won’t forget.

Life hasn’t always been easy. After Eric suffered a traumatic brain injury, we leaned on our faith and community to keep the farm going. Through resilience and partnerships, we rebranded as Down Home Beef, becoming a multi-family operation raising some of the best beef in Southeast Nebraska.

When you sit down at the table with our beef, you’re sharing in more than a meal. You’re sharing in faith, family, and the Nebraska way of life.

The Feed Side –

 A & E Feeds

Alongside our beef business, we operate A & E Feeds, providing ADM feed products to livestock producers. But we don’t just deliver bags — we build partnerships.

We walk pastures, sit at kitchen tables, and craft rations that help cattle thrive. Our customers don’t just gain feed; they gain peace of mind, stronger herds, and a partner they can trust.
